INTRODUCTION WORKSHOP

Our “Introduction Workshop” delivers 30 hours of online training over 5 days (one week) scheduled for Monday through Friday. Our employers participate in the training to explain what they are offering for employment, benefits, equipment, starting wage and career paths. Our employers also frequently invite participants to interview during the training. As part of the workshop we work with you one-on-one to complete and submit online applications to our employers with your updated resume. The fee for the Introduction Workshop is $800 per person.

The training content includes:

  • An introduction to technologies involved in online employment (e.g. Slack, Microsoft Word, Email/Gmail, Memes (we have some fun!), knowing your internet speed, etc),
  • Minimum skills requirements (sending/receiving emails, practice time to meet the required ‘words per minute’ for typing/keyboarding, how to copy/paste/snip images, zoom skills and settings, and many more…),
  • Personalized support to update your resume to submit with your job applications, and
  • Coaching for the interviews.

EXPRESS ADD-ON

If you have graduated from the Montana State University Extension “ROI” course, and are seeking opportunities for remote work, we can include you in our Introduction Workshop during the last two days when employers are presenting. We will support you as you submit your applications and connect with employers. The fee for the Express Add-on is $250 for access during Day 4 and Day 5 in one Introduction Workshop. Upcoming Events

HOW TO REGISTER
For Case Managers and individuals, we work closely with you to ensure there are successful registrations. If you are registered with your local government job agency (e.g. Job Service, Vocational Rehabilitation and Blind Services, Veteran Affairs, Career Technical Institute, etc.) please review our content and check that this workshop qualifies under your agency’s training programs. In some circumstances, WIOA (Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act) funding might also be available. You can also participate in the workshop without being registered with an agency.

  • To Register for the “Introduction” Workshop:  as an individual or you are a Case Manager from an agency and want to nominate one of your clients,  please email Betty and Zen – RemoteWorkAgency2023@gmail.com
  • We will email you the registration packet that also includes 3 forms: (1) Registration form, (2) Technology Readiness Checklist and a (3) the Pre-Workshop Survey as Word documents. When completed, you can email these forms back to us at RemoteWorkAgency2023@gmail.com
  • To Register for the Express add-on to the Introduction Workshop: you must be verified by the MSU Extension ROI course to qualify for this 2-day participation in the Introduction Workshop. Once verified, payment is made by check or bank transfer as described below. Individuals and clients registered with agencies are eligible for the Express add-on pending verification of completing the ROI course.

HOW TO PAY FOR A WORKSHOP  

  • Pay by Check – If you are an organization or agency paying for your client, RWA can provide a W-9, along with our registered business mailing address to post the check to. If you are an individual paying for the workshop, we can provide the same details.
  • Bank Transfer – We can provide you the routing and account numbers to facilitate a bank transfer. 
  • Invoicing – We will invoice you either as an organization or individual on Day 2 of the workshop after confirming attendees.

COMING SOON – We are adding an online registration process and e-transaction system to support our workshops that includes a shopping cart and credit card transaction steps.  In the meantime…….
